Peak District cottage - Sheepwalk Cottage - Stanton in the Peak near Chatsworth

Sheepwalk Cottage is Grade II listed, dating back to around 1664 and filled with luxurious, rustic charm and character. It nestles at the foot of ancient Middle Street, forming part of the street's listed vista.

The cottage has undergone a complete and thoroughly sympathetic renovation that blends contemporary comforts with its many original features.  A cosy log-burner sits in the imposing 300 year old fireplace, whilst underfloor heating warms the limestone flagged flooring.  Oak beams throughout, create a romantic setting in which to relax and unwind .  The welcoming interior has been decorated and furnished to an extremely high standard, with careful attention to detail.  Oak doors with oak latches, Farrow and Ball paint finishes, vintage Burberry fabrics and sheepskins combine to create a chic, country style.

Sheepwalk Cottage quirkily has its front door and facade at the back!  It enjoys a view of the generous and sheltered walled cottage garden, which catches the sun all day long (when it can!). The prettily planted patio area offers a relaxing place to sit, eat, drink and to discuss the delights of the Derbyshire day.

There's also a really lovely B&B in the village, so friends or family can stay while you're at Sheepwalk.
